Mumbai, Aug 5 (NationPress) Actress Tanisha Mehta, who will portray the lead female character of Vrinda in the much-anticipated Smriti Irani-starrer Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2, has shared her thoughts on joining this iconic series and her personal connection with the Tulsi plant.
She expressed, "It truly feels surreal. Being selected as the lead in such a legendary television series is a tremendous honor. I grew up watching shows like this—ones that become integral to daily life and create enduring memories for families. Being part of that legacy is extraordinarily special."
Tanisha acknowledges the weight of responsibility that accompanies her new role.
“I’m dedicating all my efforts to this. I sincerely hope the audience embraces me with the same affection they have always shown to this show. I experience goosebumps every time I contemplate it. I’m immensely thankful to Ekta Kapoor for this opportunity," she remarked.
Discussing the Tulsi plant, Tanisha noted, "Tulsi is a plant imbued with profound cultural and spiritual significance. It is thought to shield the home from negative energies while fostering positivity, joy, and harmony. It embodies devotion and serves as a reminder of spiritual traditions and values."
“It is also one of the plants I cultivated at my home after relocating,” she added.
Tanisha mentioned that she has become quite a “religious” individual.
"Many people don’t realize this about me, but over the years, I’ve truly become a very dharmik person. It’s not something I typically discuss, yet I have my own beliefs and practices," she shared.
Elaborating on her rituals, she stated, "For quite some time now, I’ve adhered to a ritual—every Monday morning, I visit the temple located just below my building. I perform Mahadev Abhishek. Each morning, I offer water to Surya Devta (the sun) and to the Tulsi plant. This serene, grounding practice brings me immense peace."
Professionally, Tanisha is recognized for her roles in shows such as Shubh Laabh Aapkey Ghar Mein (2021), Lag Ja Gale (2023), and Ikk Kudi Punjab Di (2023).
