Mumbai, Sep 6 (NationPress) Actor Teja Sajja, who is preparing for the release of his upcoming pan-India action-adventure film ‘Mirai’, describes it as a tale of a boy from Charminar in Hyderabad who is unaware of his heritage.
During a film promotion event in Mumbai, the actor shared with IANS, “When ‘Mirai’ was initially presented to me, we recognized from day one that this is a highly ambitious project, and given our constraints, achieving the vision for this film would be quite challenging. Thus, we understood that we had to give our all to create this film, including traveling to various locations to capture the stunning visuals we envisioned, since we couldn’t afford to build 20-30 sets for the production.”
He also emphasized that action-adventure films are rare in Telugu cinema and in Indian cinema as a whole.
Teja explained to IANS, “This aspect intrigued me initially, and regarding the character, it narrates the journey of a boy from Charminar who is completely unaware that he is part of the universe of the Yodha, established by the great king Ashoka centuries ago. The film explores how he embarks on this journey, discovers his dharma, and the lengths he will go to prevent a catastrophe, while also seeking answers found in our itihasas to avert such disasters. That encapsulates the essence of the story.”
Bollywood icon Karan Johar is set to present ‘Mirai’ for the northern Indian audience. Produced by People Media Factory, ‘Mirai’ is slated for a global release on September 12, 2025.
