Chennai, Sep 20 (NationPress) Actor Teja Sajja has been garnering significant acclaim for his outstanding portrayal in the recent film, 'Mirai', particularly for his high-energy action sequences.
In a candid discussion with IANS, Sajja disclosed his preparations for his role in this fantasy action-adventure.
He mentioned that he traveled to Bangkok to undergo martial arts training specifically for this movie.
"I portrayed a character that demanded quick, dynamic action, in contrast to the typical slow-motion sequences seen in commercial films. The director aimed for the action scenes to be professional, rapid, and thrilling, and I believe we succeeded in that. My training in Bangkok lasted approximately 15-20 days," he elaborated.
When prompted about his initial experience with such intense action, Sajja acknowledged that it was indeed a fresh challenge.
"There’s a considerable amount of media focus on the movie's success now, and I've faced my share of critique. Some viewers were surprised by my performance, but the overall response has been favorable," he remarked.
Upon being asked if there was a moment during filming when he felt, "This is going to be something special?" he reflected, "It truly made me ponder whether I was content with my performance. There are infinite stories to share about my journey in this role."
In a previous dialogue with IANS, he mentioned that 'Mirai' was produced on a modest budget of around 60 crores.
Sajja stated, "We completed the film in about 125 days with a budget of Rs 60 crore. If someone had claimed they could create a film of this caliber on such a budget, I would have found it hard to believe. However, my trust in the technician, director Karthik Gattamaneni, made me confident without hesitation. He is truly a remarkable director and cinematographer."
