Industry insiders have indicated that the film continues to perform well in theaters, even in its second week. Notably, the Telugu adaptation titled Sir Madam is scheduled for release on August 1.
In a prior interview with IANS, director Pandiraj revealed that he created 18 versions of the script before finalizing the relationship drama. He disclosed that the story was inspired by two individuals he encountered during a family gathering. "The plot was inspired by two characters I met when I went with my family to my ancestral temple for my son's birthday. You can't simply make a film as things happen; this film is partly based on how things might have unfolded differently," he shared.
Pandiraj mentioned that he was in a constant cycle of refining the script. "There were 18 drafts before I arrived at the final script," he noted, adding that the entire process took nearly a year.
The storyline centers on a husband and wife, deeply in love, who nearly separate due to their egos and external influences.
The Tamil version of the film, which premiered on July 25, features cinematography by M Sukumar, art direction by Veerasamar, and editing by Pradeep E Ragav. The film also includes Yogi Babu in a significant role, with stunts choreographed by Kalai Kingson.
