Mumbai, Jan 9 (NationPress) The trailer for the eagerly awaited streaming series 'Ek Farzi Love Story' premiered on Thursday, providing insights into a universe where digital affection collides with real-life turmoil.

The trailer delves into topics such as content creation and social media influencers while navigating the intricate nature of love, friendship, career ambitions, and the quest for instant fame in today’s digital landscape.

The narrative follows the lives of Kritika, a content creator, and Manav, a Chartered Accountant who shuns social media, as they embark on an emotional rollercoaster throughout their relationship. Their lives take an unforeseen twist when a viral clip of their playful exchanges launches them into the limelight, compelling them into a fabricated romance for their audience.

As their online identities flourish, the duo becomes ensnared in a reel vs real dilemma, prompting them to reevaluate their true selves and the significance of their connection.

The cast includes Anshuman Malhotra, Reem Sameer Shaikh, Mansi Taxak, Mohit Hiranandani, and Abhishek Verma in key roles.

Anshuman Malhotra, who plays Manav, expressed, “Manav is a character who does not subscribe to the artificiality of social media, yet he is drawn into it for the sake of his relationship with Kritika. As the plot progresses, Manav grapples with an intense internal conflict between his values and the chaos surrounding him. It has been a remarkable journey to portray this character, and I’m eager for the audience to witness his evolution throughout the series.”

The series is crafted by Sumrit Shahi and Durjoy Datta, directed by Aarambhh M Singh, and produced by Dice Media.

Reem Sameer Shaikh, who takes on the role of Kritika, shared, “Kritika’s path is one filled with growth and self-discovery. She begins as an ambitious individual but must confront the repercussions of her decisions. Portraying her has been a whirlwind of emotions, and I take pride in how her character evolves, especially as she navigates her relationship with Manav. I believe the audience will connect with her journey as she faces the challenges of love, fame, and self-identity in this digital era.”

'Ek Farzi Love Story' is scheduled for streaming starting January 10 on Amazon MX Player.
