Varun Declares ‘What a Day in Jaipur’ While Enjoying ‘Dal Bati and Vada Pav’

Mumbai, Dec 14 (NationPress) Bollywood star Varun Dhawan had a delightful day in Jaipur to promote his forthcoming film 'Baby John' and relished dal bati and vada pav.

Varun took to Instagram, sharing a series of photos from his time in Jaipur. In the first image, he is seen donning a traditional Rajasthani pagdi while trying an authentic Rajasthani thali.

In another snapshot, the actor poses in front of a chartered plane. He also posted a picture of himself enjoying a vada pav during the flight. Additionally, he shared clips and images from the promotional activities related to his film, directed by Kalees.

“From dal bati to vada pav, what a day in Jaipur #babyjohn takeover. #massloading this Christmas it’s Baby John,” he captioned his post.

During the promotional events in Jaipur, Varun disclosed that his upcoming movie ‘Baby John’ centers around a father's personality transformation with an “innocent face” under significant pressure—an analogy that echoes his serious character in the revenge-drama ‘Badlapur’, starring Nawazuddin Siddique.

The actor informed IANS that ‘Baby John’ focuses on women’s safety and delves into how an innocent father is compelled to go to extreme lengths to safeguard his daughter.

"They chose me for this role because they needed someone with an innocent face to depict the transformation of a father pushed to the brink," the actor stated.

Reflecting on real-life incidents like the Nirbhaya case, Dhawan mentioned that such themes are intricately woven into the film's storyline. He highlighted one of his impactful dialogues, “Haath laga ke bata mere beti ko” (Just try to harm my daughter), which he noted was heartfelt and accepted in a single take.

On a personal note, he shared a significant milestone in his life.

"Today is a special day for me because my six-month-old daughter, Lara, began eating solid food for the first time. I missed it as I’m here in Jaipur, but my wife sent me a video," he revealed.

Meanwhile, ‘Baby John’ is scheduled for release this Christmas.
