Varun Dhawan Performs ‘Nain Matakka’ Dance by the Iconic Taj Hotel

Mumbai, Nov 30 (NationPress) Bollywood sensation Varun Dhawan, who is eagerly anticipating the launch of his forthcoming action flick ‘Baby John’, was recently spotted dancing in front of the legendary Taj Hotel in the Colaba locality of Mumbai.
On Saturday, the actor known for ‘Student of the Year’ took to Instagram to share a video where he performs the iconic hook step of the song ‘Nain Mattaka’ from ‘Baby John’, right outside the Taj Hotel.
He captioned the post, “Kya app ne kabhi iconic jagah pe dance kiya hain #nainmattaka Outside the Taj mumbai. Good vibez only . #babyjohn ki Christmas (sic)”.
This is the same Taj Hotel that faced a horrific attack by Pakistani terrorists in 2008 during the infamous 26/11 attacks. The hotel is regarded as a heritage site and serves as the headquarters for the Taj group.
In ‘Baby John’, Varun Dhawan plays the lead role alongside Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff. The movie is directed by Kalees and is an adaptation of the 2016 Tamil film ‘Theri’, helmed by Atlee, who is also known for ‘Jawan’.
The film was officially announced in July 2023 under the working title ‘VD18’, marking Varun's 18th project as a lead actor, with the official title being disclosed in February 2024. Principal photography began in August 2023, with filming taking place in Mumbai and Kerala, concluding in April 2024.
The film features music by Thaman S, cinematography by Kiran Koushik, and editing by Ruben.
Produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, and A for Apple Productions, the film is set to hit theaters on December 25, 2024.
This will be Varun’s first leading role after he and his wife Natasha welcomed their baby girl Lara in June this year. Previously, he made a cameo in the blockbuster ‘Stree 2’, which also starred Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
