Mumbai, Jan 1 (NationPress): Varun Dhawan recently embraced his playful side as he took a plunge into the icy ocean.
Extending New Year wishes to his followers, the 'October' star shared a video on his Instagram account where he is seen sporting just a pair of trunks and stylish shades while sprinting towards the sea to test the frigid waters.
Varun captioned the clip, "It’s freezing but I start the year with a dip in the ocean welcome 2025."
While some fans expressed concern for Varun's well-being, others admired his boldness. Additionally, a number of Instagram users simply wished him a Happy New Year.
One user commented, "Happy new year to you & your lovely family stay the same & keep ruling our hearts we need your 3,4 movies in a year that's it," while another expressed, "Omg..what a start be careful."
In terms of his recent work, Varun's latest release was Kalees's action-packed thriller, Baby John. This film is an official remake of the 2016 Tamil movie Theri, directed by Atlee.
Varun plays the lead role, with significant performances by Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff.
For those unfamiliar, Baby John marks Southern actress Keerthy Suresh's debut in Bollywood.
The film narrates the story of a former police officer named Sathya Verma, who goes undercover to protect his daughter from a vengeful foe.
The music for the film has been composed by Thaman S, while Kiran Koushik has taken charge of the cinematography. Jointly produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films, and A for Apple Studios, Baby John premiered on December 25, 2025. However, the film has struggled to resonate with audiences.
