Mumbai, Oct 20 (NationPress) Actor Varun Sharma, celebrated for his roles in ‘Fukrey’, ‘Dilwale’, and ‘Chhichhore’, has revealed his plans for this year's Diwali celebration.

In a conversation with IANS during the festive period, Varun expressed that this year's Diwali will be particularly family-centric.

He shared, “My Diwali plans are going to be quite straightforward. Like each year, I will celebrate the festival in the evening surrounded by my family. We all gather, engage in delightful conversations, enjoy sumptuous food, and simply cherish our time at home. The house is illuminated, and in our festive outfits, we sing, talk, and relish delectable dishes. Thus, my Diwali plan is very simple and family-oriented this time.”

When reminiscing about his most cherished Diwali memory, he recalled, “It takes me back to my childhood in Jalandhar. As a young boy, much like in any small town, we would gather with neighbors outside our homes to socialize. That one night was special because we could stay out late—until around 11 or 12—visiting friends’ homes and simply having fun.”

Varun further noted, “We eagerly anticipated Diwali, as it meant reuniting with neighborhood kids and friends dressed in charming festive attire, celebrating together, and savoring delicious food. Just being together, even without much planned, and staying up late was thrilling for us children.”

When asked about his favorite Diwali treat, he stated, “Without a doubt, my favorite Diwali snack is sweets! They have always been a delight for me. However, every year, since childhood and even now, we prepare puri aloo, which my mother makes. She truly crafts the best puri aloo in the world. It's a simple, traditional dish, but it holds countless beautiful memories.”
