Mumbai, Nov 28 (NationPress) The beloved characters of Hindi cinema, Veeru and the iconic Jailor from Sholay, are set to reunite in the eagerly awaited film “Ikkis”.
Late legends Dharmendra and Asrani, who defined an era of laughter and emotion in the 1975 classic, share the screen once again in this upcoming project.
A brief clip showcases Dharmendra delivering his poignant lines, “Aaj bhi ji karda hai, pind apne nu jaanwa,” triggering waves of nostalgia among fans. As the camera shifts, Asrani is spotted alongside, sharing a warm chuckle with the late veteran actor, who sadly passed away on November 24 at the age of 89.
Asrani, who departed at the age of 84 earlier this October, succumbed to a chest infection on October 20, as confirmed by his manager and close friend. The official Instagram account shared the sorrowful news of his demise.
