As Villeneuve finalizes the script for the next “Dune” film in preparation for a summer production, insiders report that there’s a desire to include Pattinson in the cast, which features Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, as per reports from Variety.
However, no official offer has been made, and it remains unclear what role he would take on. The production company, Legendary, has not commented.
According to Variety, Robert Pattinson recently appeared alongside Zendaya in the A24 movie ‘The Drama’ and is currently working on Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of ‘The Odyssey’. He is also recognized for his role in ‘The Batman’, with a sequel slated for release in 2027. Pattinson is represented by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, Curtis Brown Group, and attorney Robert Offer.
Last year, Legendary confirmed that development for ‘Dune 3’ is in progress following the remarkable success of ‘Dune: Part 2’. The first two films have collectively grossed $1.12 billion worldwide and secured eight Oscars out of 15 nominations, both receiving best picture nominations.
