Los Angeles, July 22 (NationPress) Hollywood icon Jason Momoa has shared his insights regarding his son Nakoa-Wolf Momoa's cinematic debut. The star of Game of Thrones believes his son is in for a "rude awakening" as he steps into his first movie role in Dune: Part Three.
The 16-year-old actor will make his screen debut in director Denis Villeneuve's highly anticipated sci-fi film, portraying Leto II, the son of Paul Atreides (played by Timothee Chalamet). According to reports from Female First UK, Jason has acknowledged that his son will face significant surprises when filming commences.
During a conversation with Extra, Jason, aged 45, remarked, "A rude awakening is what he’s in for. He’s entering the workforce for the first time. It’s going to be good. He did it on his own".
Moreover, Jason, known for his role in A Minecraft Movie, expressed that he refrained from assisting his son in the role, wishing for Nakoa-Wolf to surpass him. He stated, "I don’t want to help him; he’s done it all on his own, and good for him. You want your children to be better than you, and I truly believe he is. I couldn’t do what he’s doing at his age. There’s no way I could sit in a room with Denis Villeneuve and hold my own. I was on Baywatch at 19. He’s 16 and holding it down with Denis Villeneuve".
The Aquaman star, who also has a daughter, Lola, 17, with his wife Lisa Bonet, concluded that Nakoa-Wolf is "very confident". He added, "We raised him beautifully. Our children were brought up with love and confidence. That is what he is. He’s very confident".
Nakoa-Wolf will be joined by Silo star Ida Brooke, who will portray his twin sister Ghanima in Dune: Part Three. He will also share the screen with his father, who is set to reprise his role as a resurrected Duncan Idaho, known as a ghola. The film will also feature returning characters like Zendaya's Chani, Florence Pugh’s Princess Irulan, Rebecca Ferguson’s Lady Jessica, Javier Bardem’s Stilgar, and Josh Brolin’s Gurney Halleck.
Furthermore, Robert Pattinson is rumored to be in contention for the antagonist role of Scytale, a Face Dancer and secret agent of the Bene Tleilax, who plays a pivotal role in Dune: Messiah as part of a conspiracy to overthrow Paul Atreides.
