Mumbai, May 30 (NationPress) Actor Vinay Pathak, renowned for his portrayal of Asif bhai in the acclaimed film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’, has cherished memories from the film set.
In a conversation with IANS, Pathak revealed that the legendary actor Anupam Kher was the one who first introduced him to the delights of Kashmiri cuisine during filming.
He expressed to IANS, “The effort Anupam put in behind the scenes was remarkable. Crafting an ensemble is one thing, but the artistry involved in creating a harmonious ensemble is rare. Anupam was like the conductor of an orchestra for that film. He fostered such a familial atmosphere that even today, we remain connected; I can still reach out to Anupam, Ranveer, or Tara because we shared a month and a half together. We dined together, celebrated together, and strategized on our meals for the day.”
Pathak further reminisced, “I distinctly remember, it was Anupam who introduced me to Kashmiri food for the very first time. Being a vegetarian, I initially thought Kashmiri cuisine wouldn’t suit me. But he assured me, ‘You’re in for a delight. We will take you to a special place.’ He guided me to a spot in Delhi famous for its Kashmiri dishes, and I instantly fell in love with it. Between takes, we often set aside our roles to engage in games like 20 questions. Anupam even taught us a few new games.”
Previously, Vinay Pathak, who is looking forward to his upcoming release ‘Chidiya’, mentioned that ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ was actually the Hindi film debut of Boman Irani.
However, the release of ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ faced delays due to distribution challenges. Vinay noted that the film was “sitting on the shelf” for three years, and it was ultimately ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.’ that marked Boman’s entry into Hindi cinema.
