Mumbai, Dec 20 (NationPress) Actor Vivaan Shah, who is preparing for his upcoming film ‘Ikkis’, has shared insights into his character. He revealed that he is involved in the final battle where Arun Khetarpal was martyred in action.

Vivaan’s appearance in the trailer has generated significant curiosity, with many eager to learn more about his role in this much-anticipated film.

Regarding the film, he stated, “It was an incredible honor to be part of ‘Ikkis’. I adored the trailer! I was ecstatic to be included in it. It was such a thrilling experience.”

The actor also discussed collaborating with filmmaker Sriram Raghavan, calling it a pivotal moment in his career. “Portraying such a role and working with the esteemed Sriram Raghavan was a dream realized,” he expressed.

When discussing his character, Vivaan shared that he plays an Army officer for the very first time, stating that his role is as Arun’s tank commander. He mentioned, “He is involved in the final battle and shares a fascinating dynamic with Arun.”

Expressing what he hopes audiences will take away from his performance, Vivaan conveyed his enthusiasm about showcasing a new facet of himself on screen.

He added, “I hope viewers will accept and appreciate this different version of me. This role is unlike anything I’ve portrayed before, and I aspire to surprise the audience with my performance.”

‘Ikkis’ is directed by Sriram Raghavan and is inspired by the life of Arun Khetarpal, one of India's youngest recipients of the Param Vir Chakra, who was martyred during the 1971 Indo-Pak war at the young age of 21.

The title specifically refers to Khetarpal's age at the time of his martyrdom. The lead role is portrayed by Agastya Nanda, marking a significant shift from traditional debut choices, as the film emphasizes realism over spectacle. Veteran actor Dharmendra plays a crucial role, adding generational depth to the storyline.
