Mumbai, March 21 (NationPress) Actor Vivek Oberoi shared a touching tribute to his mother, reflecting on one of the most challenging times in his life and the profound “magic” she brought to that period, revealing how he found solace in her presence.

In an emotional message posted on his social media, he recounted a moment when he felt utterly defeated. He discussed the struggle of maintaining a strong exterior while battling inner turmoil.

Vivek wrote, “Years ago, during one of the darkest moments of my life, I felt as though the world was closing in on me. Although I projected confidence to others, I was deeply hurt inside.”

He continued, “In that state of complete despair, I turned to my mother. I sat on the floor, rested my head on her lap like a child, and just wept. I asked her the question we all ponder when life feels unjust: ‘Why me, Ma? Why is this happening to me?’”

He added, “Instead of offering clichés or sympathy, she simply caressed my hair and asked, ‘Did you ever question ‘Why me?’ when you were receiving all those accolades? Did you wonder that when millions were applauding you?’”

“With that simple inquiry, she stripped away the ‘actor’ and ‘celebrity’ persona, connecting with me on a deeper level. That is the true power of a mother. She can perceive your most profound vulnerabilities and utilize them to restore your strength.”

“There’s a beautiful Japanese saying that suggests we all possess three faces. The first face is what we present to the world. The second is shown to close friends and family. The third, the truest version of ourselves, is often reserved for our mothers,” he expressed.

Vivek further noted that he now observes this same kind of magic in his wife, Priyanka, as she nurtures their children.

“I see the same magic happening in my own household. I watch Priyanka with our kids, getting to know their ‘third faces’ even before they recognize them. She creates an environment where they can be their authentic selves without fear.”
