Los Angeles, March 15 (NationPress) Hollywood icon Will Smith has revealed that his first album in two decades, titled “Based on a True Story”, is set to release on March 28.

“I’ve been crafting this project for a while now, and I’m eager to share it with you all,” Smith expressed on Instagram, accompanied by numerous promotional images for the album and the complete tracklist, according to billboard.com.

The album comprises 14 tracks, including previously released singles such as “First Love,” “Beautiful Scars,” “TANTRUM,” “Work of Art,” and “You Can Make It,” along with collaborations featuring DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, and Jac Ross.

In January, Smith discussed his choice to release new music two decades after his previous album, 2005’s Lost and Found.

“A well opened up inside of me, a well of understanding of art and pain … all kinds of things that I didn’t even know were in there,” he shared.

“Then after the Oscars, that spiritual investigation continued, and a whole world awakened within me that I hadn’t been aware of before. Dreams, visions; parts of my inner landscape that I had no awareness of prior to three years ago. This prompted a desire to share what I’m seeing and experiencing, to explore,” he added.

Smith mentioned that a significant aspect of his music now “is about that: the ecstatic kind of joy I remember from church when I was growing up; the ability to try to make this place more bearable.”

“I’ve always had a wild imagination; that’s part of who I am. But there’s something new happening with me that’s compelling me to explore musically,” he stated.

Meanwhile, on March 11, Smith posted a photo of himself celebrating 'National Napping Day'.

The Hollywood star shared a photo on his social media, as reported by 'People' magazine.

“Did someone say it was National Napping Day?” the Academy Award winner, 56, captioned an Instagram post, where he was seen relaxing, surrounded by his loved ones, including his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, and children Willow, 24, and Jaden, 26, alongside his former wife Sheree Zampino and their son Trey, 32.
