Mumbai, Feb 14 (NationPress) Sri Lankan singer Yohani has disclosed that the Hindi films ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ would serve as the ideal backdrop for her song "Ain’t Nobody Like You" as a theme track.
In a recent chat with IANS, Yohani, who gained fame through her hit track, ‘Manike Mage Hithe', expressed how these beloved films resonate with the essence and spirit of her new song.
The artist also discussed the inspiration behind her Hindi single, marking her comeback to the Indian music industry after a two-year hiatus. She noted that although this is her first Hindi release in some time, she was occupied with her Sinhalese album "Kella", which debuted last year and includes fourteen tracks.
She clarified, “This is my first Hindi song in two years, but I released a full album in Sinhalese last year, called Kella, which had fourteen songs. I was focused on that for a while, so I had to take a break from Indian music to work on my album.”
The rapper behind 'Deviyange Bare' also addressed the challenges of following up her viral success with Manike Mage Hithe. When asked about the expectations from her fans, Yohani replied, “Absolutely, yes. I think fans always expect me to deliver something similar. But as an artist, my focus is on creating new music, growing with my knowledge, and continuously improving. My passion is performing and singing for my audience.”
When questioned about the potential pressure to make "Ain’t Nobody Like You" more commercially appealing, Yohani assured her fans that there was no pressure from her music label, T-Series.
“Not from T-Series. From fans? Maybe. I’m always open to suggestions because music can be remixed—there’s nothing wrong with that. If someone comes up with a remix of Ain’t nobody,” she stated.
