Mumbai, April 3 (NationPress) Who among us has not heard the 'Samunder Mein Naha Ke' track from Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman starrer 'Pukar'? Sharing this sizzling number on her official Instagram account, Zeenat Aman reflected on her experience working in the film.

With the rising temperatures, the veteran actress candidly remarked, "Uff.. I’ll be upfront. This post is a bit indulgent, thanks to the summer heat. It’s just so incredibly hot! I mean the weather. Yet, I won’t shy away from admitting that Mr. Bachchan and I showcasing our chemistry against those salty lyrics is quite steamy too."

Discussing the filming of 'Samunder Mein Naha Ke', she shared, "Director-producer Ramesh Behl’s Pukar was an absolute joy to shoot. The film’s anti-colonial themes, stellar cast, and catchy music initially attracted me to the script. Back then, Goa was peaceful, serene, and barely populated. Hence, Samundar Mein Naha Ke was filmed on an empty beach, making it a breezy experience. For me, at least! I didn’t have any lip-syncing or complex choreography to worry about. The direction was as simple as it gets - just look pretty! So there I was, in a captivating white outfit with a hint of midriff, frolicking in the surf while Mr. Bachchan danced around me like a passionate bird-of-paradise."

Zeenat Aman confessed that her otherwise flawless performance faced a minor challenge: "I can’t swim! I had to muster a good deal of courage (and seawater) for those scenes where I was writhing in the waves! Despite taking a few tumbles and having sand in some rather uncomfortable spots, I felt I portrayed a convincing jal pari.”

She also noted that this song represented the first time Big B faced the camera after his tragic accident on the Coolie sets.

"P.S: Here’s an interesting tidbit. This was Mr. Bachchan’s first shoot following the life-threatening incident he encountered during the filming of Coolie in 1982. By then, Bachchan mania was deeply rooted in the country, and the nation collectively held its breath until he was out of danger. So, as you can imagine, the atmosphere on set was particularly lively during the making of this film." the iconic actress concluded.
