Mumbai, Oct 14 (NationPress) Writer-actor Zeeshan Qadri, who was recently evicted from Bigg Boss 19, disclosed that his films are tailored for a niche and selective audience.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, he explained that this was one of the motivations behind his participation in Bigg Boss 19, as he aimed to reach a wider audience while remaining authentic to his artistry. When asked about his primary reason for joining the show, Zeeshan reiterated his stance from before entering. He articulated that his films are made for a niche, selective audience, and being on India’s most-watched reality show allowed him to engage with viewers directly and reveal his true self.
The 'Gangs of Wasseypur' screenwriter stated, “I was posed this question even before stepping into Bigg Boss, and my reply has not changed. I have a niche, selective audience that enjoys my films. That’s why I opted to participate in India’s largest reality show—to connect with the public, so they could see me as an individual. I believe I managed to achieve that.”
Regarding his surprising eviction, Zeeshan remarked, “I was quite confident I wouldn’t be sent to a secret room again, as it had already occurred twice, and repeating it would be dull for the viewers. My eviction was indeed unexpected; I didn’t foresee it. However, I had mentally prepared myself from the very first week—every time I was nominated, I recognized that eviction was always a possibility. That’s the essence of the game, and I accepted it.”
Commenting on the recognition he’s been receiving post-eviction, Qadri noted, “People are acknowledging me a lot, and it feels wonderful. It’s only been a day since I left, and I’m already quite occupied—catching up on the last few episodes, relishing simple pleasures like Thums Up, burgers, and chowmein, and finally indulging in some much-needed sleep. I’m savoring these small delights of everyday life. I’ve just stepped out, and I’m thankful for all the love and respect I’ve garnered from the public. I’m eager to see what lies ahead.”
