Nangloi (Delhi), Jan 14 (NationPress) In a remarkable enhancement to community-level healthcare in West Delhi, an Ayushman Aarogya Mandir was inaugurated in Nangloi on Wednesday, representing a pivotal advancement in facilitating access to quality primary medical services for the local population. The opening ceremony was led by Poonam Surender Saini, the Municipal Councillor of Nangloi, and attended by numerous residents, community members, and local leaders.

The newly established Aarogya Mandir was previously an MCD dispensary and has undergone extensive renovations and upgrades. The centre now features essential amenities, including patient beds, CCTV surveillance for enhanced security, improved infrastructure, and a broader range of healthcare services. These enhancements aim to provide timely, affordable, and dependable medical care for individuals residing in and around Nangloi.

During the event, Councillor Poonam Surender Saini emphasized that the upgraded facility signifies a robust commitment to public welfare and grassroots healthcare delivery. “This Aarogya Mandir will act as a crucial resource for residents, especially for women, seniors, and children. Quality healthcare should be easily accessible, and this initiative is a significant step toward that goal,” she remarked.

Surender Saini, who also serves as the Outer Delhi BJP district co-incharge, elaborated on the overarching vision behind this initiative. He noted that reinforcing primary healthcare infrastructure is a top priority, and such facilities will alleviate the burden on larger hospitals while promoting early diagnosis and treatment.

Medical professionals affiliated with the centre underscored the significance of the upgraded facilities. Dr. Sonam Sehrawat, a Dental Surgeon, shared with IANS that the enhanced infrastructure and expanded services would markedly improve patient care, preventive treatment, and health awareness at the community level.

The inauguration of the Nangloi Aarogya Mandir is part of a broader initiative by the BJP-led Delhi government, which launched 81 Aarogya Mandirs throughout the national capital on January 14. This program is designed to bolster public health infrastructure and ensure reliable primary healthcare services for residents across Delhi.

The event concluded with residents expressing their satisfaction and optimism, viewing the upgraded Aarogya Mandir as a vital step toward building a healthier and more resilient community.
