Will the Govt Showcase India’s MedTech Strength and Innovation at the 3-Day Expo?

New Delhi, Sep 2 (NationPress) The Department of Pharmaceuticals is preparing to launch the second edition of the India MedTech Expo 2025, highlighting the nation’s prowess and breakthroughs in medical technologies, according to the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers on Tuesday.

This three-day event will take place at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, from September 4-6, as part of the broader Bharat Health 2025 initiative.

The India MedTech Expo has established itself as a leading platform to showcase the capabilities and growth of India in the medical technology and devices sector. The 2025 edition aims to unite policymakers, global business leaders, innovators, investors, and healthcare stakeholders, further solidifying India’s status as a center for precision-driven yet affordable MedTech solutions,” stated the Ministry.

Themed ‘India: Global MedTech Manufacturing Hub, Precision Engineering Yet Affordable’, the expo will feature a vast exhibition showcasing MSMEs, start-ups, research institutions, future innovation pavilions, state showcases, and government initiatives.

It will also host thematic conferences, CEO roundtables, fireside chats, and state-focused sessions involving Union and State Ministers. Experience zones and networking opportunities, including B2B meetings, reverse buyer-seller meets, and regulator open houses, will further foster collaborations throughout the med-tech value chain.

“India’s medical devices sector has expanded to a market size of nearly $15 billion and is projected to reach $30 billion by 2030. With over 800 MedTech start-ups, robust R&D capabilities, and a rapidly growing manufacturing base, we are positioning India not just as a consumer market but as a global innovation and export hub,” explained Praveen Kumar Mittal, Executive Director of the Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPCMD).

“The India MedTech Expo 2025 will act as a catalyst to showcase this growth narrative and facilitate collaborations that can enhance healthcare access both domestically and globally,” he added.

The event is expected to attract over 150 international buyers from more than 30 countries, providing a unique chance for global stakeholders to explore partnerships and investments within India’s rapidly evolving MedTech ecosystem.

The expo will host over 350 exhibitors across specialized pavilions and conduct conference sessions to promote innovation and advance India’s Vision 2047 within the global MedTech landscape.

Highlights of the expo will include India’s largest medical device exhibition with over 500 companies displaying their products and services, along with 150+ delegates from 30+ countries spanning ASEAN, Africa, CIS, the Middle East, and Oceania.
