What Were the Key Findings from Joint Secretary's Inspection at AIIMS Bhopal?

Bhopal, Sep 1 (NationPress) The Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ankita Mishra Bundela, made a significant visit to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal on Monday, where she conducted a thorough evaluation of the medical services available.

Upon her arrival, Bundela performed a detailed inspection of the hospital facilities, including the Outpatient Department (OPD) and inpatient wards, engaging with both patients and healthcare professionals.

During her tour of the campus, she explored the hostel complex and took part in Ganesh Puja, spending quality time with students and staff, which highlighted the vibrant cultural and academic atmosphere of the institute.

Her visit also included an examination of the college building, where she assessed departmental facilities and scrutinized student amenities to enhance the educational environment and overall student experience.

Later, she convened an interactive meeting with the senior management of the prestigious medical institute, comprising the executive director, all deans, and senior faculty members.

The focus of the meeting was on pressing matters concerning institutional advancement, healthcare services, and academic initiatives.

Furthermore, Bundela inspected crucial ongoing projects at the institute, such as the critical care centre and a multi-level parking facility being developed in front of AIIMS Bhopal.

She evaluated the progress of these projects, asserting that their completion would lead to substantial enhancements in the treatment of critically ill patients, advanced neurosurgical services, and overall patient and attendant convenience.

According to a statement from AIIMS Bhopal, Joint Secretary Ankita Mishra Bundela expressed her admiration for the commitment of the leadership, faculty, and staff, noting the institute's essential role in fortifying healthcare services, research, and medical education in the area.

During the inspection, Bundela stressed the importance of addressing departmental issues with transparency and respecting the established hierarchy.

She instructed that the orders, recommendations, and viewpoints of heads of departments (HODs) should be prioritized, directing management to expedite unresolved matters previously presented to the Standing Finance Committee regarding AIIMS Bhopal.

To address ongoing shortages, Bundela announced the establishment of sub-stores in each clinical department, with the Central Pharmacy tasked with ensuring timely supply.

The objective is to guarantee uninterrupted surgeries and diagnostics.
