New Delhi, Sep 21 (NationPress) The Namo Yuva Run was launched in various cities across India on Sunday, attracting lakhs of young participants in a nationwide marathon dedicated to advocating for a 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' (Drug-Free India).
This grand initiative, conducted simultaneously at 75 venues, is part of the Sewa Pakhwada campaign initiated by the BJP to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 75th birthday.
The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), which announced the campaign on September 7, stated that this extensive run aimed to promote awareness regarding fitness, health, and social responsibility.
In Delhi, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, National Secretary Alka Gurjar, Union Minister of State Raj Bhushan Choudhary, and Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha State President Sagar Tyagi jointly inaugurated the marathon.
During a statement to the media, Tiwari noted, "Today, we organized a significant marathon in Delhi, inviting people, and a considerable number of youth joined in. This event is organized under Sewa Pakhwada to commemorate PM Modi's birthday. We aim to raise awareness regarding fitness and health."
Union Minister Raj Bhushan Choudhary also encouraged mass participation, emphasizing, "Through this marathon, our aim is to liberate India from obesity and addiction, enabling the younger generation to assist in constructing a Viksit Bharat in the future."

When addressing reporters, Shekhawat remarked, "It is widely recognized that PM Modi has always envisioned a 'Khelega India To Khilega India', which inspired the launch of the Fit India Mission. As the nation commemorates his 75th birthday and honors his lifelong dedication to serving the country, with service and integrity being paramount in his life, the entire nation has resolved to run marathons together as a tribute to him."
BJP State President Madan Rathore, also present in Jodhpur, commented, "In India, the Sewa Pakhwada is celebrated from September 17 to October 2. Various initiatives are being executed during this time, including blood donation camps, cleanliness campaigns, and health camps. Today's marathon specifically promotes a Nasha Mukt Bharat."
