Dhaka, Sep 30 (NationPress) The Awami League of Bangladesh has vehemently criticized the recent shootings in Khagrachhari district that resulted in the deaths of more than three individuals and left numerous others injured, asserting that these acts were executed under the direct orders of the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus.
In its accusations, the party stated, "Under the direct guidance of this illegitimate usurper government, extremist communal factions are perpetrating violence against individuals of various faiths, ideologies, and communities in a quest for uniformity and dominance. This disturbing reality has been showcased in Khagrachhari."
The Awami League emphasized that since the illegal usurper and killer-fascist Yunus-led regime assumed control, the citizens of Bangladesh have experienced a profound absence of security. The statement described the nation as ensnared in the grasp of a "man-eating monster", where indiscriminate killings and rampant violations of human rights are commonplace.
“In the wake of protests against the gang-rape of an indigenous schoolgirl in Khagrachhari, at least three individuals lost their lives in Guimara, and a marketplace was set ablaze. On behalf of the Bangladesh Awami League, we categorically denounce and protest these occurrences. The entire nation is appalled and enraged by this senseless violence and arson,” the statement from the Awami League declared.
“While the authorities refuse to deliver justice to those outraged by the rape of an indigenous girl, they resort to firing upon those demanding justice. Citizens perceive this as an anti-people and anti-national conspiracy. As the saying goes, if the hills bleed, the plains will not be spared. Yet, these killer-fascists persist in imposing brutal repression,” the statement continued.
The Awami League contended that under the governance of an illegal, unconstitutional, and unaccountable interim government, there remains no assurance of safety for individuals of any faith or ethnicity, no rule of law, and only chaos.
“This exemplifies the fundamental tenets of such a ghostly regime, reminiscent of Nazi rule. Murders, rapes, and various crimes are being committed throughout the nation, instigated and overseen directly by the killer-fascist Yunus group, breaking all previous records,” the party stated.
Affirming that the people of Bangladesh yearn for liberation from this oppressive situation, the Awami League vowed to lead the “struggle for liberation and free them from this bondage” alongside the populace.
