Quetta, March 10 (NationPress) Pakistani forces have once again forcibly taken a Baloch student, as reported by a prominent human rights organization on Tuesday.

According to information from Paank, the Human Rights Department of the Baloch National Movement, 16-year-old Abdullah Baloch was abducted from his home on Monday in the Jiwani tehsil of Gwadar district.

Family sources indicate that personnel from Pakistan's Frontier Corps (FC), along with Military Intelligence, conducted a raid and took Abdullah into custody. His current location is still unknown, as stated by Paank.

The rights organization expressed deep concern over the detention of a minor and urged Pakistani authorities to immediately reveal Abdullah's whereabouts and guarantee his safe return.

In a broader context, Paank condemned the military's actions, particularly in the raid on the home of Ali Faqeer Sangor in the Gogdan area of Kech district early on Tuesday morning.

According to local reports, security forces invaded the residence, destroyed property, and intimidated family members, subjecting them to physical abuse.

“During this incursion, the whole family experienced harassment, with women facing threats, violence, and humiliation. Such acts violate fundamental human dignity and contradict legal protections against using women as tools of coercion,” stated Paank.

This incident exemplifies a disturbing trend where civilians and their families are subjected to coercive measures by Pakistani forces throughout Balochistan.

Earlier, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) noted that the ongoing detention of its chief organizer Mahrang Baloch and other leaders is indicative of an “institutional conspiracy” aimed at suppressing a peaceful movement.

The BYC emphasized that the Pakistani military, intelligence agencies, and bodies like the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) play central roles in the systematic oppression of Baloch civilians.

They asserted that this institutional collusion poses a threat not only to Balochistan but to the democratic fabric of all Pakistan, calling for immediate recognition of enforced disappearances as a grave crime. They demand the establishment of an independent commission, restoration of judicial independence, lifting of media censorship, and transparent investigations into these violations under UN supervision.

Point of View

It is critical to highlight the increasing instances of human rights violations in Balochistan. The reported abduction of a minor student by state forces not only raises ethical questions but also poses a significant threat to the democratic principles and human rights of all citizens in Pakistan.
