Dhaka, December 9 (NationPress) The interim government of Bangladesh has issued a strong warning indicating that foreigners will not be permitted to stay and work illegally in the nation.
During a press briefing, Bangladesh's Home Affairs Adviser, Jahangir Alam, made this announcement on Sunday, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
When inquired about the number of foreign nationals residing illegally and their countries of origin, Jahangir stated, “We do not possess precise statistics at this time. If we did, I would have provided the figures.”
Later on Sunday, a circular was disseminated urging foreign nationals currently residing and working illegally in Bangladesh to legalize their status at the earliest opportunity.
