Dhaka, Nov 12 (NationPress) The Bangladesh Student League, affiliated with the Awami League, vehemently denounced the tragic car explosion in Delhi, labeling it a "brutal and destabilising" act executed by extremist factions supported by Pakistan's entrenched terrorist networks.

This condemnation followed a powerful blast that struck vehicles near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi on Monday evening, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.

"This reprehensible attack adjacent to the historical Red Fort serves as another stark reminder of the brutal and destabilising agenda pursued by extremist organizations operating with ideological and logistical backing from Pakistan's long-established terror framework. For decades, Pakistan's security apparatus has fostered, trained, and deployed cross-border militant groups as instruments of coercion against its neighboring nations, jeopardizing peace throughout the Subcontinent and endangering the lives of ordinary citizens," stated the Bangladesh Student League.

The organization further criticized Pakistan-sheltered networks, including their ideological allies, conduits, and sympathizers in various countries, calling for their complete dismantlement.

The statement observed that the explosion mirrored a "well-recognized strategy": exporting militancy to destabilize democracies, fracture social harmony, and disrupt regional stability, emphasizing that such actions violate international law and represent a severe betrayal of humanitarian principles.

"We reiterate that terrorism, extremism, radicalism, and militancy, regardless of their geographical or ideological disguises, hold no legitimacy in a civilized, rules-based society. Any political or social actor in the Subcontinent or beyond who aids, excuses, or aligns with these forces opposes humanity, justice, and the collective aspirations of the people of Subcontinent," the student organization asserted.

Previously, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh condemned the explosion in Delhi, deeming it unacceptable under any circumstances.

Hasina expressed profound sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and extended her condolences to grieving families while wishing a swift recovery to the injured.

"There is no room for extremist terrorism in today's world. These extremist terrorist factions attack the very foundations of a secular, humane, and welfare-oriented state. Rooted in Pakistan, these terrorist groups have infiltrated networks across countries, including Bangladesh, executing attacks in India to undermine regional peace and stability," read a statement from Hasina posted on the Awami League's social media.

"We must oppose these terrorists and uphold South Asian peace and stability by fostering bonds between peoples. The Bangladesh Awami League fully supports India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this principled battle against terrorism," the statement concluded.
