Washington, Jan 16 (NationPress) US President Joe Biden concluded his tenure after four years in office and over 50 years in politics, assuring Americans that the advantages of his administration will "flourish for generations to come."

Biden departs as a President facing significant unpopularity, keen on safeguarding his legacy from incoming President-elect Donald Trump, who is anticipated to reverse many of his policies swiftly.

"It will require time to fully appreciate the effects of our collective efforts, but the groundwork has been laid, and it will develop and "flourish for decades to come," Biden expressed during a farewell address from the White House on Wednesday.

He hopes for a more favorable evaluation from history, much like several of his predecessors.

Take President Jimmy Carter, for example; he left office amid scandal related to the hostage crisis and a faltering economy, yet later earned the Nobel Prize for his humanitarian contributions worldwide.

Additionally, similar to some of his predecessors, Biden's departure comes with a cautionary message for the American populace.

"I firmly believe that America is well-positioned to continue thriving. Hence, in my farewell address tonight, I feel compelled to alert the nation about certain issues that deeply concern me. There exists a perilous concentration of power among a select few extremely wealthy individuals. The potential repercussions of their unchecked power pose a significant threat to our democracy, our fundamental rights, and the opportunity for everyone to prosper," he stated.

"We witness the ramifications throughout America, reminiscent of events over a century ago. However, the American people rose against the robber barons back then and dismantled the monopolies. They didn't penalize the affluent; they simply ensured the wealthy adhered to the same rules as everyone else," Biden added.
