Washington, May 19 (NationPress) Former US President Joe Biden issued his first statement following the announcement of his diagnosis with a notably aggressive type of prostate cancer.
"Cancer affects everyone. Like many of you, Jill and I have discovered that we are strongest in our most challenging times. Thank you for your love and support during this period," wrote the 82-year-old, sharing a photograph with his wife.
Biden's office revealed on Sunday that the former President had been evaluated last week due to a new finding of a prostate nodule after facing escalating urinary symptoms.
"On Friday, he was informed of his prostate cancer diagnosis, identified with a Gleason score of 9 (grade Group 5) and with metastasis to the bone.
