The ceremonial launch of the airline's new name took place in the capital, Phnom Penh, on Friday, attracting hundreds of attendees from the civil aviation and tourism sectors, including experts and academics.

During the event, Zhan David, Vice Chairman and CEO of Air Cambodia, announced that in 2024, the airline aims to enhance aircraft utilization and broaden its route offerings.

According to him, Air Cambodia is becoming increasingly pivotal in facilitating exchanges among people and fostering economic and trade partnerships between Cambodia, China, ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations), and other nations.

He also highlighted that last year, Air Cambodia successfully acquired three new aircraft, working towards a total fleet size of 32.

Moreover, he stated that Air Cambodia is the sole Cambodian airline to have earned a 3-star rating from Skytrax, a recognized global aviation ranking organization.

At the launch event, Air Cambodia unveiled its 'Happy Cambodian Traveller 2025' New Year gift initiative, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.

This initiative, designed for Cambodian citizens, includes three key elements, as outlined in a news release.
