Quetta, March 28 (NationPress) Amid rising violence against civilians in Balochistan, a prominent human rights organization has highlighted the extrajudicial execution of one civilian and the forced disappearance of two others by Pakistani security forces.

Paank, the Human Rights Department of the Baloch National Movement, reported that the bullet-riddled body of Yawar Habib was found in the Turbat region of Kech district on Friday, nearly nine months following his forcible disappearance.

The organization stated that “the state of his remains and the circumstances surrounding their recovery indicate that he was unlawfully detained before being executed extrajudicially.”

According to Paank, the young Baloch was disappeared in broad daylight outside the High Court in Turbat on June 16, 2025, by Pakistani security personnel.

“For nine months, Yawar Habib's family suffered immense psychological anguish, persistently seeking information about his whereabouts through legal avenues, human rights organizations, and media outreach,” they added.

Paank vehemently condemned the “extrajudicial custodial killing” of Yawar, emphasizing that this incident reflects a worrying trend of enforced disappearances in the area.

Stressing that the killing is part of a larger alarming pattern targeting Baloch youth, the organization stated, “Enforced disappearances followed by so-called ‘kill and dump’ operations have become a prevalent issue, instilling fear and insecurity in the region. Such acts are serious violations of basic human rights, including the right to life, due process, and protection against arbitrary detention.”

Highlighting the ongoing atrocities against civilians in Balochistan, Paank revealed that on the same day, Abid Baloch, a student suffering from a kidney ailment, was summoned by Pakistani military intelligence.

Despite complying and arriving as directed, Abid was forcibly disappeared upon his arrival from Hub Chowki, with no updates regarding his situation.

“This isn’t the first instance of Abid Baloch facing such severe human rights abuses. Previously, on December 16, 2022, he was forcibly taken from Dalmia Shanti Nagar in Karachi while receiving medical treatment for his kidney condition. His repeated targeting reveals a disturbing trend of harassment and persecution, particularly against vulnerable individuals, including students and those requiring urgent medical attention,” the rights body noted.

According to verified reports, another Baloch civilian, Ismail Rachar, was forcibly taken by Pakistani forces from Hub Chowki on March 7, alongside his relative Israr Baloch, while returning home in their vehicle.

While Israr Baloch was released on March 25, he could not disclose sufficient details about their detention. Meanwhile, Ismail Rachar remains missing, causing serious concerns about his safety and well-being.

Expressing solidarity with Ismail Rachar's family, Paank called for justice, accountability, and an urgent end to enforced disappearances.
