Quetta, March 4 (NationPress) In a tragic development, Pakistani forces have extrajudicially executed yet another Baloch civilian in Balochistan, according to a prominent human rights organization on Wednesday.

This incident occurs in the midst of an increasing trend of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances throughout the province.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) reported that the lifeless body of 17-year-old Yahya Baloch was discovered in the Washbood region of Panjgur district on Tuesday, five months after he had been forcibly disappeared.

As per the rights organization, on October 1, 2025, Yahya was abducted by a Pakistan-backed death squad from Airport Road in Chitkan, Panjgur.

“This is not an isolated occurrence; it highlights the ongoing human rights catastrophe in Balochistan. Enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings persist even during Ramadan, a month symbolizing mercy and justice. Baloch families are being subjected to enforced disappearances and the brutal execution of their loved ones,” stated the BYC.

The BYC has urged the United Nations and global human rights organizations to promptly take notice, investigate these human rights abuses in Balochistan, and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

Earlier on Tuesday, Paank, the Human Rights Department of the Baloch National Movement, reported that at least nine civilians have been forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces throughout Balochistan.

Paank noted that Shoaib Ahmed Qambrani, a 17-year-old student from the Killi Qambrani area of Quetta, was taken from his home on Monday by Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD).

In another case that same day, Rahim Bakhsh, a 45-year-old businessman, was reportedly apprehended by personnel of Pakistan’s Frontier Corps (FC) from his residence in the Minaz area of Kech district.

Addressing the ongoing atrocities against civilians, the rights organization highlighted that four additional Baloch youths were forcibly disappeared by FC from their homes in Minaz on Monday.

The individuals were identified as Ali Ahmad (17), Yasir (19), Asif (17), and Abdul Rehman (18).

Paank also reported that two brothers, Zakria and Rehan, were forcibly disappeared on February 26 by FC and CTD during a raid on their residence in Turbat city of Kech.

Moreover, Saddam, an 18-year-old student, was allegedly subjected to enforced disappearance by CTD from Brewery Road in Quetta on February 16.

Balochistan remains engulfed in unrelenting atrocities perpetrated by Pakistani forces, characterized by a staggering rise in enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of Baloch civilians.

Point of View

It is crucial to underscore the gravity of the situation in Balochistan. The persistent extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances reflect a significant humanitarian crisis that demands immediate attention from the international community.
