Dubai, Nov 17 (NationPress) The Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth convened with his UAE counterpart, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, on Monday during the Dubai Air Show 2025. Both nations emphasized the need for enhanced cooperation via institutional frameworks, defense exhibitions, and training collaboration.
In a statement, the Defence Ministry shared on X, "Minister Sanjay Seth engaged in a bilateral discussion with Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei at the Dubai Air Show 2025. He highlighted the importance of stronger cooperation through institutional mechanisms, defense exhibitions, training partnerships, and advocated for joint research and co-development to deepen defense relations."
Additionally, Seth inaugurated the BRAHMOS stall at the Dubai Air Show and met with 15 iDEX winners showcasing advanced technology and aerospace innovations in the Vista Startup Zone.
According to a statement from the Indian Consulate General in Dubai, "Minister Sanjay Seth opened the BRAHMOS stall at the Dubai Air Show. This supersonic cruise missile, a major highlight of the event, can be deployed on ships, mobile launchers, submarines, and aircraft, targeting both land and sea objectives."
Earlier, Seth also inaugurated the India Pavilion at the Dubai Air Show, which features indigenous fighter jet technology, next-generation defense startups, and innovative aerospace solutions, emphasizing the spirit of self-reliance.
Leading an Indian delegation at the Dubai Air Show 2025, held in the United Arab Emirates from November 17-18, Seth was accompanied by senior officials from the Department of Defence, Department of Defence Production, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), and the Armed Forces.
The Dubai Air Show is a biennial event that attracts over 1,500 exhibitors and more than 148,000 industry professionals from 150 countries, featuring major international aerospace firms like Bombardier, Dassault Aviation, Embraer, Thales, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and Calidus, as stated by the Defence Ministry.
