New Delhi, Oct 20 (NationPress) UAE's Ambassador to India Abdulnasser Alshaali on Monday conveyed heartfelt wishes to everyone celebrating Diwali, emphasizing that the festival has been a significant part of his journey in India since the very beginning.
The video shared on X features Alshaali alongside other officials as they joyfully celebrated Diwali. In the footage, the UAE envoy and his colleagues can be seen lighting traditional earthen lamps and creating colorful rangoli.
While posting the video on X, the UAE envoy remarked, "Diwali has been part of my journey in #India from the very start, and as I celebrate my fourth one here, its warmth feels more special than ever. Wishing everyone happiness and prosperity."
Earlier that day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan shared his warmest greetings on the occasion of Diwali.
"Best wishes to all those celebrating Diwali in the UAE and around the world. May the coming year bring peace, health, and prosperity to you and your loved ones," Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan posted on X.
UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also sent his best wishes to everyone celebrating Diwali both in the UAE and globally.
"Warmest wishes and greetings to those celebrating Diwali in the UAE and beyond. May this festival of lights bring peace, safety, and prosperity to you and your loved ones. Happy Diwali," Sheikh Mohammed expressed in a post on X.
Diwali represents the spiritual triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Celebrated on Monday with immense enthusiasm worldwide, it showcases India's rich cultural heritage and communicates the universal message of unity and harmony.
Meanwhile, various diplomatic missions, including those of Finland, Israel, and Switzerland, also extended their greetings for the Diwali festival.
The Finnish Embassy in India celebrated Diwali with a quiz, lunch, and dance. While sending their wishes, they shared a video of the embassy team dancing to festive tunes.
"Happy Diwali from Team Finland in India! Our team marked the occasion with a festive quiz, a delicious lunch, and some lively dance moves — a wonderful moment of togetherness where Finnish diplomats and local colleagues celebrated side by side," the Finnish Embassy in India posted on X.
Officials from the Israeli Embassy participated in Diwali shopping, buying flowers and lamps, and also crafted rangoli in their embassy, sending their wishes for the festival.
