Cairo, March 21 (NationPress) - The Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani engaged in a phone discussion to explore collaborative measures aimed at strengthening the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
In their conversation on Thursday, both ministers shared insights on the recent developments unfolding in Gaza and their nations' joint efforts to ensure the enforcement of the truce, as reported by Xinhua news agency citing a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
They also deliberated on strategies to advance the Arab-Islamic initiative for the swift recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, alongside preparations for an upcoming international reconstruction conference slated to be held in Cairo.
The ministers underscored the significance of sustained coordination to avert further escalations in the region and concurred on the necessity of a political resolution that guarantees long-term stability through the establishment of a Palestinian state as the ultimate solution to the ongoing conflict.
