Kabul, Dec 4 (NationPress) Tragically, one commuter lost their life and 12 others sustained injuries in a collision involving two vehicles in eastern Afghanistan's Laghman province on Thursday, according to provincial police spokesperson Mohammad Yunus Yusufzai.

The official attributed the accident to reckless driving, revealing that three women were among those injured, with several in critical condition, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.

A similar incident earlier this week claimed the lives of two travelers and left five others injured in western Herat province on Monday.

On November 23, another road mishap resulted in the deaths of 10 individuals and injuries to more than 10 in Herat province, as stated by the provincial police office.

This crash occurred on the Herat-Kandahar highway, a key route connecting the western and southern regions of the country, according to the report.

A head-on collision between two vehicles led to the deaths of 10 commuters and injuries to over 10 others.

In an earlier incident on November 17, a collision in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar resulted in two fatalities and eight injuries, as reported by provincial police spokesperson Sayed Tayeb Hamad.

This deadly crash involved a vehicle carrying female clinic employees that collided with an oncoming vehicle.

Sadly, a female doctor and a child lost their lives on the scene, while eight others, including six clinic employees, a child, and their driver, were injured, the official noted.

On November 14, provincial police spokesperson Zabihullah Jawhar reported another accident in southern Zabul province, where at least one person was killed, and two others were injured.

This crash occurred on November 13 along the Kabul-Kandahar highway, a vital transport route linking the capital with the south. Local police indicated that a car collided with an oncoming vehicle, resulting in one death and two injuries, with the injured being transported to a local hospital.

On November 4, a collision in eastern Parwan province led to the deaths of four commuters and injuries to two others, according to provincial police spokesperson Fazal Rahim Muskinyar.

This tragic incident occurred on a road in Siagurd district, claiming four lives, including women and children, and injuring two others. The official attributed the accident to reckless driving and confirmed that the drivers of both vehicles are now in custody.
