Four Fatalities in Turkish Helicopter Incident

Istanbul, Dec 23 (NationPress) Four people aboard the helicopter tragically lost their lives when an air ambulance helicopter crashed after making contact with a hospital structure in Turkey's Aegean province of Mugla.

The helicopter, which is operated by the health ministry, reportedly lost control on Sunday due to dense fog prior to its collision with the state hospital building, according to Xinhua news agency referencing NTV broadcaster.

Among those on the helicopter were a pilot, a technical staff member, a doctor, and a healthcare worker. Initial reports suggest that all four individuals were killed, as stated in the report.

The incident transpired during the takeoff phase, as confirmed by Mugla Governor Idris Akbiyik.

In an unrelated event, eighteen individuals sustained injuries in a traffic accident in western Turkey when a truck collided with a passenger bus on a highway, as reported by the state-run Anadolu Agency on Sunday.

This accident occurred on the highway close to the Dinar District of Afyonkarahisar in western Turkey, resulting in injuries to the bus driver and 17 passengers.

The precise timing of the accident remains unknown.

Emergency health services, gendarmerie, and police teams were sent to the scene, and the injured were subsequently taken to the hospital.
