Four Palestinians Fatally Shot by Israeli Forces in the West Bank

Ramallah, Dec 2 (NationPress) Four Palestinians were fatally shot by Israeli forces in Jenin, a region in the northern West Bank, as confirmed by the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The Ministry issued a statement on Sunday indicating that the four individuals, whose identities remain unknown, were killed during a military operation in the town of Sir, which is situated to the southeast of Jenin, according to Xinhua news agency.
Jenin Governor Kamal Abu Rab informed Xinhua that the identification of the victims was difficult due to the significant damage and charring of their remains. He also noted that the Israeli military had taken custody of the bodies.
The Ministry's announcement did not elaborate further on the incident.
Local eyewitnesses reported to Xinhua that an Israeli drone targeted a location in the village of Sir earlier on Sunday morning. This airstrike was followed by extensive search and sweep operations by the Israeli military in the vicinity.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released a statement on Sunday indicating that, under the guidance of the Israeli Security Agency, an aircraft from the Israeli Air Force conducted a strike that eliminated a terrorist cell in Jenin.
Post-strike, IDF soldiers executed a targeted raid at the scene, where they reportedly discovered three firearms on the militants' bodies, along with additional weaponry, military gear, and explosive materials.
Since the surge of conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip beginning on October 7, 2023, tensions have heightened across various cities, refugee camps, and villages throughout the West Bank.
The Palestinian Health Ministry indicates that over 800 Palestinians have lost their lives due to Israeli gunfire and airstrikes in the West Bank during this ongoing period.
