French Military Forces Initiate Their Departure from Chad

Yaounde, Dec 11 (NationPress) France has begun the process of withdrawing its military forces from Chad, with a number of fighter jets taking off from a French military base located in the Chadian capital of N'Djamena, according to statements from the Chadian army.
In a concise announcement, Chanane Issakha Acheikh, the spokesperson for the Chadian army, mentioned on Tuesday that the public would be updated on each phase of the withdrawal until the complete exit of all French troops, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
Last month, Chad declared the termination of its security and defense cooperation agreement with France, emphasizing that it was time for Chad to assert its complete sovereignty and reevaluate its strategic partnerships based on national priorities.
