The agenda for Monday includes a 90-minute discussion among G7 heads of state regarding the global economic outlook, followed by a working lunch dedicated to energy security with invited leaders.
The G7 is an informal coalition of seven of the world’s most advanced economies—Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States—along with the European Union. The annual summit provides a venue for coordinating responses to significant global economic and geopolitical challenges.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, the host for this year's summit, has invited leaders from several non-G7 nations, including Ukraine, Australia, India, South Korea, Mexico, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa.
Earlier on Sunday, the President of Cyprus shared a post on X, stating: "Today, we are building more bridges; we are enhancing and broadening economic cooperation between Cyprus and India. Together, we are embarking on a new era of strategic partnership, rooted in trust and shared values, driven by innovation and inspired by our rich historical journey and the vast horizon that awaits us. Together, Cyprus and India, we convey a strong message of cooperation and prosperity, as well as a message of hope."
