Gaza, March 12 (NationPress) Hamas has announced that mediators from Egypt and Qatar are actively working to finalize the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and commence the second phase of negotiations.

In a press statement, Hamas spokesman Abdul Latif Al-Qanou remarked on Tuesday that the Egyptian and Qatari mediators have been diligently striving to complete the ceasefire agreement and to advance to the second phase of discussions, according to Xinhua news agency.

"There are positive indicators in this context," Al-Qanou stated, emphasizing that Hamas is ready to participate in upcoming negotiations in a manner that aligns with the aspirations of the Palestinian populace.

He also urged for enhanced efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and to lift the existing blockade.

As per Al-Qanou, a delegation of Hamas leaders arrived in Cairo on Monday to discuss the processes for initiating the second phase of negotiations.

Concurrently, senior Hamas leader Abdul Rahman Shadid expressed during a televised conference that Israel persists in its criminal actions against Palestinians in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.

He charged Israel with committing killings, displacements, mass arrests, obstructing food and medical supplies, and closing border crossings, thereby exacerbating the humanitarian plight in the Strip.

Shadid pointed out that Israel's military operation in Jenin and its refugee camp has reached its 51st day, while similar operations in Tulkarm and its camps, Nour Shams and Tulkarm, have continued for 43 days.

He characterized these operations as part of Israel's broader agenda to expand settlements and establish a new reality in the Palestinian territories.
