Jerusalem, April 5 (NationPress) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they have eliminated Saeed Ahmad Abed Khudari, who is believed to be a significant financial operator for Hamas, in Gaza City.

The IDF stated that Khudari was targeted and killed on Thursday as he was regarded as "a critical terror financing facilitator within Hamas."

In his capacity as a money exchanger, Khudari led the Al Wefaq Co. fund, which was classified as a terrorist organization by the Israeli authorities because of its role in transferring funds to terrorist groups, as per the IDF's report on Friday.

The IDF also indicated that Khudari participated in various financial transactions supporting Hamas' military division over the years, particularly following October 7, 2023, according to reports from Xinhua.

His financial activities intensified after the death of his brother, Hamed Khudari, in 2019, who had also acted as a primary financial link for Hamas' military initiatives, the IDF noted.

In separate announcements on Friday, the IDF confirmed the deaths of Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Awad, a high-ranking military commander in the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, who was implicated in the kidnapping and murder of Israelis, and Mohammed Saleh Mohammed Al-Bardawil, who was allegedly involved in propaganda efforts and psychological operations for Hamas' military wing.

Israel resumed its air and ground attacks on the Palestinian territory on March 18, after a two-month ceasefire with Hamas.

The renewed Israeli offensives have reportedly resulted in at least 1,249 Palestinian fatalities and 3,022 injuries, according to health authorities in Gaza as of Friday.
