Tokyo, Aug 2 (NationPress) During his visit to the Fleet Headquarters and the Maritime Operations Centre in Tokyo on Saturday, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, received an overview of the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) regarding its organisational framework, aims, and operational duties.

This visit marks a significant step towards fostering deeper collaboration and mutual understanding in shared maritime interests between India and Japan.

In a statement on X, the Indian Navy highlighted, "Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, CNS, toured JMSDF's Fleet Headquarters and the Maritime Operations Centre, which is pivotal for Japan's maritime domain awareness.
