Riyadh, May 24 (NationPress) Indian pilgrims who set out for the Haj pilgrimage have expressed their gratitude towards the arrangements and the high-quality facilities provided by the Indian government, which ensured a seamless journey in Saudi Arabia.
"Those who participated in Haj 2025 through the Haj Committee of India are extremely satisfied with the management by the Government of India and the amenities available to them. The Ministry of Minority Affairs is consistently working to guarantee a comfortable and dignified experience for every Haj pilgrim," the Ministry shared on X this past Saturday.
On the previous Friday, George Kurian, Minister of State for Minority Affairs, emphasized the Centre's committed efforts in facilitating a smooth and successful pilgrimage.
Earlier that day, Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri, the Indian Consul General of Jeddah, led 'Team India' for Haj 2025, assisting pilgrims in navigating from Haram Shareef to their accommodations in Azizia (Mecca) after they completed their Friday prayers.
The significant influx of pilgrims exiting Haram Shareef post-prayer necessitated coordination among 'Team India' members to direct them to their designated bus stops while providing immediate medical assistance when needed.
The Indian Haj Mission has ensured that medical care is readily available to pilgrims through a mobile medical team. From nearby dispensaries to fully equipped hospitals, the mission has prioritized accessible healthcare.
Moreover, medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, along with ambulances, are on standby around the clock for any health issues that may arise.
On Thursday, Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri assessed the logistics concerning the movement of pilgrims from Mecca and Mina and their accommodations at Arafat for the Haj rituals.
Last week, India's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Khan, personally met with pilgrims in Mecca to ensure their comfort during the pilgrimage.
"Ambassador Suhel Khan visited pilgrims from various states and inquired about their welfare and any concerns they might have in Mecca today. The Government of India is dedicated to ensuring the comfort and safety of Indian pilgrims, making their spiritual journey as hassle-free as possible," the Indian Embassy in Riyadh stated on X.
Previously, Indian Consul General Fahad Ahmed Khan Suri conducted a review meeting with officials and staff stationed at temporary branch offices and dispensaries established by the Indian Haj Mission.
