Kuwait City, Dec 18 (NationPress) In an effort to enhance the bilateral ties between India and Kuwait, India's Ambassador to Kuwait, Paramita Tripathi, paid a visit to Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait on Thursday.
The discussions focused on methods to strengthen the Strategic Partnership between the two nations and to broaden cooperation in key areas of mutual interest.
“Ambassador Paramita Tripathi met with H.E. Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait today. Conversations centered on enhancing the India-Kuwait Strategic Partnership and fostering engagement in significant areas of mutual benefit,” the Indian Embassy in Kuwait shared on X.
Earlier this week, Ambassador Tripathi engaged with representatives from various Indian community associations at the Indian Embassy in Kuwait, commending their efforts in community welfare and cultural outreach.
During this meeting, discussions were exchanged on enhancing interaction and collaboration between Indian associations and identifying ways to improve the welfare of the Indian community residing in Kuwait.
Last week, the Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Sarthak wrapped up a five-day goodwill visit to Kuwait after participating in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with the Kuwait Navy Ship KNS Al Garoh, showcasing the increasing maritime cooperation between the two countries.
The Indian Embassy in Kuwait noted that this exercise was instrumental in improving India-Kuwait maritime interoperability and fostering mutual understanding for conducting joint operations in the region and beyond.
A reception was held aboard the ICGS Sarthak during the visit, attended by notable members of the Indian community, Kuwaiti dignitaries, diplomats, and friends of India.
During the gathering, the Indian Ambassador underscored the growth of bilateral cooperation between the two nations within the framework of the India-Kuwait Strategic Partnership and highlighted the shared goal of regional peace and prosperity.
On November 12, Ambassador Tripathi also met with Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Kuwait's Foreign Minister, presenting a copy of the Letter of Credence.
“The discussions focused on promoting shared objectives under the India-Kuwait Strategic Partnership as well as global and regional issues of mutual concern,” the Indian Embassy in Kuwait posted on X.
