Jerusalem, March 20 (NationPress) The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Friday that Ali Mohammad Naini, the spokesperson and head of the Public Relations Array for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has been killed.

The IDF statement revealed that Naini held multiple roles in propaganda and public relations.

"DISPATCHED: Ali Mohammad Naini, the spokesperson and head of the IRGC's Public Relations Array. For the past two years, Naini acted as the principal propagandist for the IRGC, spreading the regime's terrorist narratives to its affiliates throughout the Middle East, aimed at inciting and advancing terror attacks against Israel," the IDF shared via X.

The IRGC declared the "martyrdom" of Brigadier General Naini, attributing it to a US-Israeli "terror attack during the closing hours of Ramadan's holy month."

In a statement from the IRGC, Iranian media described the assault as a "cowardly act of state-sponsored terror" and promised vengeance.

On Wednesday, the IDF reported that Esmaeil Khatib, Iran's Intelligence Minister, was eliminated in an Israeli airstrike in Tehran.

"Esmaeil Khatib, the Minister of Intelligence for the Iranian terrorist regime, was targeted in a strike in Tehran. He played a crucial role during the recent protests in Iran, including the arrests and killings of demonstrators, and orchestrated terrorist actions against Israelis and Americans globally. He also took actions against Iranian citizens during the Mahsa Amini protests (2022–2023)," the IDF stated on X.

"The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence has advanced capabilities in surveillance, espionage, and executing covert operations worldwide, particularly targeting Israeli and Iranian citizens," it added.

On Tuesday, Israel asserted that it has also killed Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.

The IDF noted that Larijani was among the most senior figures in the Iranian regime and closely connected to the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

"Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and an effective leader of the regime, has been eliminated. Over the years, he was regarded as one of the most experienced figures in the Iranian leadership and was a close ally of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei," the IDF reported on X.

Following this, Iranian media confirmed that Larijani and his son were killed in an Israeli airstrike in Tehran on March 17.

"During the latest surge of protests against the Iranian terror regime, Larijani was directly responsible for the massacre of Iranian protestors," they added.

The IDF stated that Larijani acted as the regime's leader after Khamenei's passing and spearheaded actions against Israel and regional countries.

Additionally, the IDF announced the death of Gholamreza Soleimani, commander of the Basij Unit.

"COMMANDER OF THE BASIJ UNIT ELIMINATED. Yesterday, the IDF targeted and eliminated Gholamreza Soleimani, who had served as the Basij unit commander for the past six years. Under Soleimani, the Basij unit was responsible for major repression operations in Iran, employing extreme violence, mass arrests, and force against civilian protesters," the IDF said.
