Tehran, March 8 (NationPress) The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced an assault on a refinery located in Haifa, Israel on Saturday night, marking a response to a recent US-Israeli strike on its energy facilities. On February 28, Israel and the United States executed coordinated strikes against Tehran and other Iranian cities, resulting in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei alongside numerous others, including members of his family, high-ranking military officials, and civilians. In retaliation, Iran launched multiple missile and drone attacks targeting both Israel and US military installations in the Middle East.
In response to the assaults, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated that the US and Israel are attempting to fracture and destabilize Iran. He urged US President Donald Trump to acknowledge his errors and recognize the deception of Israel.
"The Americans have left a deep wound in the hearts of our people. We will not forget this," Larijani emphasized.
During an interview published on Saturday by Independent Arabia, Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi revealed that he maintains ongoing communication with Saudi Arabia's counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, who assured him that Saudi Arabia will not permit its territory, airspace, or maritime routes to be used against Iran.
