"Commenced the day meeting with Norwegian Finance Minister and the incoming chair of the Munich Security Conference Jens Stoltenberg. A productive dialogue on the evolving global security framework," EAM Jaishankar shared on X.

In November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre in Rio de Janeiro during the G20 Summit, where both nations emphasized enhancing collaboration in areas such as blue economy, renewable energy, green hydrogen, solar and wind initiatives, geothermal energy, green shipping, Carbon Capture Utilization & Storage (CCUS), fisheries, space, and the Arctic.

The Norwegian government had previously introduced the 'India Strategy', which outlines clear priorities until 2030 to revitalize bilateral cooperation with India.

This year, Norway is scheduled to host the Third India-Nordic Summit, which has the potential to elevate India’s relations with Nordic countries to a new level of collaboration.

During his second meeting, EAM engaged with Gerardo Werthein, Argentina's Foreign and Trade Minister, where discussions revolved around expanding trade and investment, alongside sharing views on global issues.

EAM Jaishankar also tackled the complex challenges of European security in his meeting with Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the Danish politician serving as Foreign Affairs Minister since 2022.

Advancements in trade, connectivity, and mobility between New Delhi and Bucharest were the focal points of discussion with Emil Hurezeanu, Romania’s Foreign Minister.

Jaishankar concluded his morning meetings with Federal Chancellor and Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, highlighting that "his insights into the region are always valuable."

"Always a pleasure to meet my esteemed colleague Dr. S. Jaishankar and discuss collaborative approaches to global challenges. It’s gratifying to witness Austrian-Indian relations at an all-time high!" Schallenberg commented on X following their meeting.
