According to Al-Atwan, the Kuwaiti Armed Forces are operating at the highest state of alert, continuously monitoring developments in collaboration with military, security, and other state entities, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
He emphasized that these actions are part of a comprehensive national strategy designed to safeguard the nation’s security and ensure the safety of both citizens and residents.
Furthermore, the military spokesperson stated that the Kuwaiti defence systems have successfully detected and neutralized 212 ballistic missiles and 394 drones that were aimed at infiltrating the country’s airspace over the past few days.
In a related development, on Saturday, the United States and Israel executed joint operations targeting Tehran and various Iranian cities, resulting in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, alongside his family members, senior military officials, and civilians, according to Iranian sources. In retaliation, Iran launched a series of missile and drone strikes aimed at Israeli and US assets throughout the Middle East.

In collaboration with the Qatari air force and navy, air defence systems intercepted seven ballistic missiles and five drones during the assault, ensuring that all missiles were destroyed before they could reach their intended targets, thus averting potential casualties and significant damage.
The Defence Ministry affirmed that Qatar's armed forces possess the full capabilities and resources required to defend the nation's sovereignty and territory, and to respond decisively to any external threats.
A joint statement by the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, and the United States condemned the strikes that targeted the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, including the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
