Lukashenko Acknowledges Existence of Nuclear Arms in Belarus

Minsk, Dec 11 (NationPress) Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko acknowledged the existence of nuclear arms in Belarus.
Lukashenko revealed that several dozen nuclear warheads have already been transported into the nation, according to reports from Xinhua news agency.
The Belarusian leader emphasized that the deployment of nuclear weapons carries immense responsibility, especially given the historical context of Hiroshima and Nagasaki; since those bombings, no other nation has utilized such weaponry.
During a meeting with staff at the POZHSNAB enterprise in Borisov, Lukashenko mentioned that the possibility of installing the Russian Oreshnik missile system in Belarus is currently being evaluated.
He noted that discussions are ongoing regarding which locations are suitable for the Oreshnik system, with approximately 30 potential sites identified within the republic.
Lukashenko asserted that decisions regarding targets for destruction on the territory of a potential adversary will be made by Minsk, not Moscow.
Furthermore, the Russian side is expected to assist with the operation of the complexes that will eventually be established in Belarus, according to Lukashenko.
On December 6, Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated that deploying the Oreshnik missile system in Belarus could be feasible by the second half of 2025.
